| The biggest event of the year at any bingo hall calls for some creative thinking. How creative have you been? |

The best New Years Theme we have used in our bingo hall is an Elvis Theme. We purchased life size Elvis cut-outs and placed them in various parts of the hall. The customers had a ball having their picture taken with Elvis. We also had an Elvis Impersonator walk through the hall. Elvis actually called one game, very much to the chagrin of the gaming regulators. |

| To expand on the Elvis theme...We had an Elvis theme week about 7 years ago in the summer. During the week we offered a special game that spelled out Elvis on the sessions M-F (ex. Letter "E" on Mon., Letter "L" on Tue. etc...). The week concluded with a special session on Sat. where we had an Elvis Impersonator do a short set, a roaming Elvis on the floor, drawings for Elvis memorabilia, and a special jump in the parking lot from the "Flying Elvi" sky diving team. Lots of fun. |

| This Year theme for New Years was 'Jazz It Up' complete with Jazzy Party Favors and a three piece jazz band playing right up until game time. The specials and packs were named after famous Jazz musicians and the employees were dressed in a tuxedos with jazzy vests. The players had a great time... |

Sock Hop.... Our Players had the best time!
Dance contest including prizes for best line or stroll dance (read most enthusiastic), best twist and mashed potato. We rented a photo booth and decorated it to match the theme. Root Beer floats were served for dessert and of course the bingo pattern names were reminiscent of the 50's and 60's.
The players had a lot of fun and spoke enthusiastically about the event.
The staff had a great time too. Female employees wore poodle skirts or Capri pants with scarves. The men wore White T-Shirts and greased hair.
I heard a few staff members say they didn't want to leave until the night was over even if they were off the clock.
All and all...Our best New Years Eve! |
